About the Student Network
We understand that beginning your first year at University can be challenging. It involves adapting to new experiences and expectations, both academically and socially. The CSESoc Mentoring Program aims to ease this transition into university. Mentees are matched in groups and are led by two mentors who are in second year or above and studying a CSE degree just like you. Not only will you get the chance to consult with more experienced students, but you will also meet other people pursuing the same degrees, make new friends, develop social networks and expand your horizons.
The program consists of various social activities such as group hangouts, parties/bonding events, online discussion groups, and if you prefer, one-to-one meetups.
Group catch-ups are scheduled once a week for the first 5 weeks of the term. Regular online communication will also be maintained by the mentor throughout this time period. We strongly encourage all eligible new students to join the mentoring program and make the most of what it has to offer. For more information: email@example.com
*Note: This program is NOT academic - the Mentors will not help you with your assignments, etc. But they will help you find your way around UNSW, give advice on opportunities, and help you form a social network.
Mentee signups are open for Term 1, 2019! If you would like to be a part of peer mentoring, please sign up by filling out this Student Network Peer Mentoring Mentee Sign Up Form!
